This is a large agro-industrial company that grows oil palms and rubber as its main crops. It has plantations in Ndian and Lobe where they specialize in the production of palms oil and also in Bai specialized in the production of rubber. All these cover a total land surface area of about 10300 hectares with a capital of about 1.874 billion pumped in by the government of Cameroon (highest share) and para-public and private companies.

This plantation is supervised by the ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development and Finance.
The plantation is governed by a board of directors (12 in number) that represent the various partners, headed by a board chairman.

Pamol is managed by a general manager and assisted by a deputy. They manage five departments: finance and administration, plantations and research, technical, human resources and internal audit.

The plantation has eight products to its credit which include palm oil, palm kernel, palm kernel oil, soap, sludge oil, seeds, seedlings and palm kernel cake.

The future of the company lies in a huge joit investment plan (contract-plan Etat/Pamol). It is a 14.3 billion plan that is aimed at rehabilitating it with a new palm oil factory together with the extension of the farms, application of fertilizers, replanting and the acquiring of new equipment.

Company Overview

The first mill of what is today PAMOL Plantations Plc, was inaugurated on the 14th of April, 1967 by Cameroon`s first President Amadou Ahidjo in Lobe. At that time, the company was known as “Plantations Pamol Du Cameroun” and owned by a British concern by name Unilever. When the expatriates left in the late 1980s, because the prices of rubber and palm oil plummeted across the board making their operations unprofitable, Plantations Pamol du Cameroun, was placed under liquidation. At this point, Unilever got pollination insects from the research centre in Lobe conducted by a team led by Dr. Syed and exported to Unilever plantations in Malaysia and that boosted their production about 3-folds causing them to find no reason to stay in Cameroon.

However, the company continued operations until July 1996, when Pamol Plantations Ltd was created through a debt equity swap between creditors of the defunct Plantations Pamol du Cameroun Ltd, which was still a subsidiary of Unilever and shareholders of the new company. The new company kick started its operations in November, 1996. Pamol Plantations Ltd was transformed into Pamol Plantations Public Liability Company in November, 2006 to conform to the OHADA treaty and it has remained as such to date.

Love one another and there is no true love without actions.

Whoever told you love is just a word? Love as I perceive it, is the act of selfless giving and sharing. It comprises of very simple acts such as: when you feel someone is in pain, you reach out to them and give them a hug. That significant and cost-less gesture given out of love is priceless. It goes a long way to encourage a friend.

Winners are true lovers. We love you that’s why we express our unconditional act of kindness through giving and sharing from the bottom of our hearts.

One love, one lobe Estate and one winner Family

All About Winners For Life.

Winners is a group created by Pamol children. The name “Winners” symbolizes the optimism and confidence (i.e., pamol children are born to win). The members of the winners group share a very strong bond, by virtue of the fact that they grew up in Lobe Estate. This bond enable Winners’ members to see themselves as family. Winners started in 2015, as simple WhatsApp group with as few as 10 original members. It was first of all comprised ofG.S. lobe Estate group 3 and 4 classmates.
In January 2019, it was expanded to include all interested persons who at some point in time live in Lobe Estate. Presently, the group comprises of over 30 registered members and the bond these people share is as solid as diamond.

The main factor that brings winners’ members together is nostalgia. The members always look back at Lobe Estate and remember that This place once supported their physiological needs (clothing, food, and shelter). Although the members of winners are scattered around the world, they always remember where they came from. Because if a person doesn’t know where he/she comes from, they can not know where they are going.
Winners host a general assembly semi annually, where they discuss their plans for the next six months and how to deploy them. In addition, Winners members interact daily in a WhatsApp group where they chat, network, and encourage one another.
Mission: “Uniting Lobe Estate children”.
Vision: Provide youngsters with the opportunity to benefit from Lobe Like we did.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
